Whoever saw it was lucky to see it. Bolides are pretty hard to catch and brilliant when seen, especially if you can hear their crackling.

I've seen only one in my life. We were on our way to deer gunt in western OK early one morning when one streaked overhead and impacted a mile or so ahead of us. We looked for it, but never found anything. It was pretty damned cool!
