Refilling 1lb Propane Cylinders

I've filled dozens of the one-pounders over the years with this little jewel. I've had it so long I don't remember where I got it or what I paid for it. I've tried it both freezing and not freezing the small bottles. It seems to make a little difference, Whether or not it's worth your time is up to you.

I refill the 1# bottles all the time.

Scrub em down and stick a new label on them. Lol just kidding about the last part.

I have 2 of those. I leave one on the 20 lb tank and use the other one to vent pressure on the 1 lb bottle . Then continue filling the 1 lb bottle.

With all the blatant illegal crap people do and get away with, this sure seems pretty trivial, so who’s tasked with rounding up all these outlaws?!?

Who is gonna catch you? That’s what inquiring minds want to know. This subject was never covered in the basic CLEET peace officer academy in Oklahoma. And further more how can they prove you refilled them?
