Spoke to a friend of mine recently that is in the business and the know. Said that with this starting back and a few other factories that have opened from different companies, should be getting back to "normal" in about 4-6 months
Sooner would be nice but I can live with 4 to 6 months.....not sure what the new normal will be but I can always hope...!!!
I saw a interview with an executive from Federal ammo and he said they were backordered tell 2022.
Define "normal" please.
Not saying they are, but ya gotta wonder whether some companies are milking the current situation for all it's worth... especially with public statements like that.
I'm doubtful we'll see 16 or 18 cent per round brass cased 9mm ever again, but it may drop down to around 28 cents or so at its new low.
Normal meaning that the whole waiting in line at academy at 6 am or paying $1/round being only way to get ammo, as far as pricing goes It will start to get better, I'm not saying we will ever see 30 cents per round 556/223 again but maybe decent availability at 40 to 50 cents per round
Well if we’re guessing. I’d say they EPA’d the last lead plant under BO. Under Biden they try and make lead an environmental hazard and we have expensive non-toxic shot like us duck hunters do.
End result $1 handgun ammo as now which puts prices high enough you can’t afford to shoot or train. Just a guess we all ready see the multiple fronts to destroy our country and bring us under global compliance.
Hate to be a Debbie Downer but I wonder if Remington will be returning to their normal level of quality also.
