By today’s standards that’s good but approximately a year and a half ago you could get Winchester white box hundred round count for $16.99I don't think its the manufacturer's screwing people on the prices its the dealer's/retailers that are price gouging, I bought some 9mm about a month ago from Atwood's and it was $12.99 a box for 50 and it was brass cased S&B.
I never knew it was that cheap, I'm not much of a 9mm shooter so I haven't bought any in years I just bought those to trade for .40 or .45.By today’s standards that’s good but approximately a year and a half ago you could get Winchester white box hundred round count for $16.99
I think it is a combination of a logistics issue caused by the Covid and a massive amount of panic buying. I don’t think the manufacturers are screwing us over. Now retail sellers may have a little to do with some of the inflated prices because if they priced it too low other stores will buy up their inventory and then sell it at an even higher price. Kind of like in the past you could buy the same ammo at Walmart but a gun show would have it marked 50 to 100% more. Or as perfect example how Gun World has their ammunition marked up 200 to 300% even before all this crazinessNot saying they are, but ya gotta wonder whether some companies are milking the current situation for all it's worth... especially with public statements like that.
