So I am going to Topeka for the drag races in May. Has anyone ever rented an RV or travel trailer? Do people personally rent them or do you have to go through a company?
There some rental services that private owners use to rent out their RVs, as well as the big RV rental facilities. I will tell you this, it is expensive. If you do drag races and things like that on a regular basis, you might want to consider buying a small RV, they can be had for just a couple grand, you will spend half that renting for a week, its about $600 for a weekend from Cruise America, which has a location in OKC.
yeah, I don't know if it would be cost beneficial for us to rent one just to sit most of the day. I might check out some of the sites that are from individuals. I just need a travel trailer not an actual RV. We just don't want keep driving into Topeka. I could camp out for 3 days, but my father in law isn't as keen on that idea.
Leisure Time on I-40 & Anderson Rd. just east of OKC rents small RVs. I thought they rented travel trailers too but I'm not seeing it on their website.
One piece of advice....before you rent a RV you need to check your auto insurance policy to see if it cover a RV. Most personal polices don't cover that or U-Hauls. So make sure you get the right coverage!
