Retired Police CCW across state lines

Retired officer here and I was wondering if anybody has any words of wisdom for CCW across state lines.
Leaving the state for first time since the law changed and am heading west.

Can any body give me any words of wisdom concerning CCW for retired officer.
What I have read on line seems convoluted at the least and seems to vary from state to state.
Especially with going to the left coast.

If you're a retired officer, you should be covered for nationwide carry under H-218.

That's correct,all 50 states.There may be a yearly qualification requirement though iirc. Steve

Ditto, you have to retain qualification from your agency...otherwise regular OK SDA permit rules apply.

I was told by ClEET that the lic was only good for Oklahoma unless you maintained your yearly qualification from the agency you retired from.

According to CLEET, A sign-off from any CLEET approved instructor will be accepted. It doesn't have to be from the agency you retired from.

Hey, thanks guys,,,,,,,,, that was preaty much what I thought I had been told by our range instructor...............but he wasnt positive either..................Yeah I still go out to qualify when the dept goes just so I out shoot some of em...........and the young guys really like to handle and shoot my old 66.........several have even went and purchased a wheel gun...............

I've carried concealed for years across the country including in DC. The important thing to remember is concealed and avoid LEO contacts. It really doesn't matter what the law is, it's what the officer you are interacting with believes it is.
