Has anyone used a BRO drop in? The one I have used is stated to break at 3# but it actually broke at 1.25#.

I have one. I haven't put a trigger guage on it, but it does feel lighter than my Timney 3.5

Unless something changed recently, all he really wanted was a short reset and flat trigger face. 2.5-3.5 was just fine for him

Probably one of those rumors that gets exaggerated down the line then.
Either way, my response when I heard that was, no thanks. I'll stick around 3lbs

My sweet spot was 3-4 oz under 3#.

I'd be comfortable with that. Feegee did some work on his trigger and got 1lb 12 oz on a Lyman digital guage. That scares me.
