I haven't had a 10/22 with the plastic trigger guard housing yet, but I am pretty well impressed with the 22/45 plastic grip frames. I think the plastic may be zytel---same material used to make M16 and M4 stocks. I would wait till they get out into the market place and the price should be well below the $90 MSRP posted on the link.

Now Ruger's frivolous patent trolling against Kidd makes sense, they were trying to rub out the competition before this product release. A real greaseball, d-bag move on Ruger's part, imo.

Ruger sued because if they don't protect their trademark, they lose it. For whatever reason, KIDD did not respond to letters from Ruger and Ruger's ONLY recourse was to sue or lose control of their brand.

Tony Kidd made some simple changes to his website and everything is fine now. Nothing more, nothing less.

I heard that also----Kidd did not respond to Ruger's letters so Ruger did what they needed to do.
