Just found out that Ruger is dropping a new Ruger American line. It’s the gen 2 and will be chambered in 6 ARC along with other chambering. I will be standing in line to get the 6 ARC day one. For some reason I have a thing for these rifles. 
Is this the new rifle with the medium heavy fluted barrel with brake and the adjustable stock?
Not familiar with 6 MM ARC. Similar/same as to any of the other 6MMs’?

similar to them yes, was mainly for the AR platform but you can push it harder in a bolt gun.
I just read some about it. 108 grain, 2800 fps, .243 diameter bullet. Looks fun, easy to shoot. Had a Ruger .243 bolt action 20 years or so ago. Shot great, soft recoil, one of those boat paddle looking synthetic stock model 77? I think. Regret selling it off.
I have a 1968 Winchester model 70 in 243 that shoots great for its age, but being able to shoot the 105 berger 6mm bullet I shoot in my 6x47 lapua in a lighter easier to carry rifle sounds like a dream to me.
The 22 ARC will be nice. I have a 6 ARC that I built and it is sub moa.
What’s the deal with the spirally fluted barrels? Is there a practical purpose for spiral vs. straight flutes, or is it just bling?
