I am having to re establish cheek weld after each shot unfortunately, I am shooting it cross arm style so after reading your comment I'm wondering if hold the forearm may help?
I'd have to see your setup and see you shoot. You shouldn't have to re-establish anything..it's a 6.5 Grendel and not a .50. Could be too low, too high, high rings/mount and no riser, Comb too tall and low rings, etc. Could be just how you shoot, but IDK.

So even if you are making large groups, they are still groups, although they have absolutely no pattern. Nothing vertical, nothing horizontal, they are just pretty random. The groups should not float around the aimpoint like that.
I agree 100% my optic is a MEOPTA OPTIKA5 and my mount is a DNZ game reaper & I'm hesitant to blame them but anything is possible?

EDIT BECAUSE I'M AN IDIOT - I did make some adjustments today between groups & forgot until you mentioned it. The 4 shot group was before & the 5 shot groups are after even though they are still erratic

Probably me lol I shoot my savage 223 into under 1/2" easily but maybe because it's recoil is barely anything. I've shot "bigger" rounds UpTo 50 but heck I may be flinching?

I do have a cheek riser on this rifle.

(Another edit ) I'm starting to think some of it was parallax. I couldn't get rid of parallax by adjusting the dial at the range & just now for the first time adjusting the eye piece and tested the parallax at 30 yards & it's parallax free now. Like I said I'm an idiot, I'm betting there's going to be some improvement now.... How much is the question

1. Did you remove and degrease scope mount and screws? (come with a layer of oil usually)
2 Try some 130 gr. ammo (rugers like heavy)
3. if it's a skinny barrel, you might try a rubber barrel dampener ( sell at Atwoods and Bass pro)

1. Yes.
2. I will.
3. It's the American Predator which isn't a true heavy barrel, I'd say it's like a magnum contour & in between a Sporter & varmint contour.

I've got it apart again and adding some JB weld ( plastic bonder ) into the voids in the forearm hoping to stiffen it because it's fairly flexible

I've shot a few 6.5G, never had any luck on accuracy. Tried a few different brands of ammo and Hornady Black was the worst group. Gun ended up liking Wolf steelcase at around 1 and half inch groups. Try shooting different days, weather, temperatures, for me there were days I couldn't hit paper but very few days.

This: Environmental Technology 32032 Molding and Casting Material, 32 oz https://a.co/d/cZa8EXi
is what I used to fill the stock in my Thompson Center buttstock to keep it from sounding hollow and to balance the rifle more. It's great stuff and sets up quick! It throws off quite a bit of heat and can warp thin parts of the stock. I kept checking on it and made sure the recoil pad still slipped in the end while the resin hardened. Sounds like you're on the right track.

I actually filled the butt stock with 2 part silicone molding resin https://a.co/d/1cEAVJD but in the past I've used auto fiberglass, lexel & the first time expanding spray foam.
