That original model has virtually no sights and a not so great trigger
I put a crimson trace laser on mine and still don’t like it

Same. Even though it's meant as a point and shoot gun, a laser is almost necessary. It's not fitted for an optic and the threat isn't always fine be within point and shoot range. I've got the discontinued side mount laser on mine and really like it. Never heard of anybody that said it was enjoyable to shoot, but it serves it's purpose.
