Sand Plums 2015

Last year made some sand plum jelly with mango (1:1), my 4 year old actually cried when it was all gone. Promised her I'd fill the pantry with it this year, hoping to come through!

The only excuse is Chiggers-they ate my lunch the last time I picked wild plums. When I was a wee lad my mom put kerosene around my lower pants legs and supposedly that prevented Chiggers...

yep...works for all the little critters...ticks as well...mix it with 50% alchohol in a spray bottle and spray it around pants, shoes, and shirt sleeves....then around your outside lights and anywhere the dirt dobbers or bag worms like to build....deadly on cats though...careful with that...

We don't have chiggers here, wind keeps the mosquitos away, so other tan the possibility of a tick, it's pretty low risk picking here
