I remember I was sitting on the sofa one evening and a scorpion plopped on my chest. I arose quickly! Killed the scorpion too, I guess he was walking across the ceiling. I've aways remembered that incident.

Out in Tuttle in 17 years I only ever saw 2 scorpions. 1st one was in my closet a week after I moved in, where I had went in the dark to dress for work. Almost stepped on that dude.

I use to sprinkle diazinon granules around the house back when you could get it and it kept the scorpions out of the house, my youngest was sitting in the floor with her diaper on and when she crawled off she had been sitting on one.
I have seen many scorpions and have eaten a couple live.
Never been stung though.
They can "hold their breath" under water for up to 6 days!!!

Wive stepped on one at the old house. She likened it to stepping on a large sliver of glass.
Raised about half my life on a farm/ranch and saw plenty of them but never got bit that I recall.

Found a scorpion in my garage this morning. He was a little one, but is now a dead one.
