Since when did OGE start selling gas? I've worked for them for 33 years and this is the first I've heard of it...Learn something new everyday..:uhwhat:

I was a kid and thought that OG&E had gas too...

Mea culpa

You guys should change your name, it is misleading to kids!

Well it's back on.

That's good to hear. While my showers are cooler now than they are in the depths of an artic blast, like you, I still prefer a little warmth to the water.

Did they tell you what happened??

ONG came and changed our meter a while back, but they knocked on the door and told me what they were doing. They had to come change it a couple of times after that (remember my $8984.84 ONG Bill thread??) before they got one that was working right, but still they knocked and announced before entering the back yard. That might have had something to do with those big old German Shepherds I had back there though ... ;)

Sounds like somebody screwed up. They had to have gone to the wrong address. Still no excuse for the no notice. Hope they get your service back on quickly.

Well if they were at the wrong house that justifies the no notice now doesn't it? The notices likely went to the right house...

Ouch ... that's gonna leave a mark ...

Yes I did, they are supposed to send a tech out today to get it turned back on. They had no clue why they came and took the meter and shut the gas off. Im mostly pissed because our stove and hot water heater are gas so we cant cook or take hot showers until they come turn it back on. Had this been the winter I'd be even more irate.

It's 105 outside, why would you want to take a hot shower. Im kidding and I understand, ONG did the same to me and I had proof that the bill was paid. The bad part is that it was winter and had no heat for one night and half of a day because of a mistake. All they said was, sorry. Im not very fond of utility people either.

Hmmmm ... this happened to GC when he was married to his first wife. They bought a house, put up deposits and moved in. ONG came out and turned off the gas in January in a house that was heated by a gas heater. They got it back on that night but he was in a house all day with a cranky pregnant woman and an infant. He was NOT pleased.

I've had ONG come and turn off the gas by mistake at a rental house I was in years and years ago, but they came back out that night and turned it back on -- after I called and showed proof of payment that is. I'm not one to be late on my bills either. It was just an honest mistake.
