The people and the local/state government apparently fully support what is happening there.

Why should federal troops be involved?

Serious question.

The people as in all people in Seattle? All people in the "zone" that's occupied? PD response to 911 calls in the zone takes three times as long now, apparently not everyone is fully supporting it, people are still calling 911.

Serious question, do you support what they are doing in Seattle?

Serious answer. No, I do not support what they are doing.

But there is a lot of daylight in between that position and supporting the intervention of federal troops against the wishes and/or without the request of the state government.

We are a nation of states. Let them handle it if they want to, or not. This is the government the people of Seattle voted for. They have open ANTIFA supporters on their city council. It’s a minuscule area of the metropolitan area and the stories are largely overblown, much like the horror stories about the Superdome in New Orleans after Katrina. This is a state issue, not a federal one.

Serious question: Do you know how many actual permanent residents live in the 6 block zone? Who are the aggrieved parties? Are they unanimous in a call for help?

Answer to question one, no, but hundreds who aren't "permanent" now do.
Answer to question two, don't know
Answer to question three, don't know

Not everyone ever votes for who's in office for a particular office of course, but we all have the same set of laws to follow. Barricading public streets, deciding who gets to pass or not pass and Black Power and Anarchy graffiti and flags everywhere don't help a "peaceful" cause.

Again, I agree what they are doing is illegal and wrong, but blocking streets and painting graffiti in a highly localized area of a huge city is not justification for uninvited federal troops.

The aggrieved people of Seattle, if there are any, need to take it up with their local and state government.

Who are the aggrieved? How many are there? Where are they? What rights have been violated?
