Seized hub?

I have had some tough ones to pull.
Brake fluid will seep into the smallest area and release rusted together parts.
Try soaking in brake fluid.
Brake fluid cleans up perfectly with soapy water or windex so not an issue there.

Now those stubborn ones that do not react like you have there i have taken a tow chain and placed the links over a couple studs and installed the lug nuts backwards usually to keep the chain on.

Then on the other end of the chain i have attached a very heavy object like a 50 lb chunk of steel.
I then use the dent puller process.
Slack in the chain then pull quick and hard on the 50 lb weight.
The shock and the pulling force kind of jack hammers the hub out.

I have pulled mushroomed axles through spider gears like that. Mushroom was not so much mushroomed after getting them out.

Have you used the bfh and whacked the hex end of your puller a few times?

OOS, out of square and in a bind.. Take puller and pp off and use a hammer to whack the hub ON then reset the puller and try again..

I’d get it nice and hot with a torch then whack the beejeebus out of it as previously suggested. Brute force is sometimes the answer.

I’ve exhausted all of the above with tools I have on hand. I’ve got a friend that is bus mechanic, going to send if he has one of those monster pullers. I’ve got a 1 inch drive air impact. I’m not gonna get beat by a friggin hub!

I’ve exhausted all of the above with tools I have on hand. I’ve got a friend that is bus mechanic, going to send if he has one of those monster pullers. I’ve got a 1 inch drive air impact. I’m not gonna get beat by a friggin hub!

If the shaft on the puller is bending using a piece of solid bar or tubing with a cap rolled on may help. Less shaft sticking out and the rest less likely to bend. The shock treatment with a chain will work though. After a couple pulls tap it back on and spray some lube. Eventually it will come off or break something further down the line.

My eyes aren't but so good but, why does it look like the castle nut is still on end of the spindle in the picture ? I'm sure if you took the other side apart you know it has to come off first . I guessing that it is loose and on there to keep the hub from flying off when it breaks free. More than likely the bearing went south and grooved the spindle . Where are you located ? I have a very heavy duty hub puller that might break it loose.

I left the nut on so the end didn’t flare to the point that I couldn’t get it back on. There is still an inch or so of clear axle behind it.
