Picture this for a tool.
1/2" plate steel with elongated or multiple wheel bolt patterns. yours is 5x5 wheel pattern.
Attach to wheel lug nuts and in the center of the plate a hole was drilled through and 1" all thread was inserted into the hole and double nutted to hold in place.
Making a big slide hammer.
How about a fence post driver for the slide hammer.
May work may not.
If it was my project and nothing worked i would fab one up with junk laying around the yard.
I did build a fence post driver that drives 2 3/8" posts.
Do you have access to a press? You could take the strut and tie rod off and pull the inner cv joint out of the transaxle to put the whole thing in the press.
Sorry for no updates guys. I would have to remove the spindle also to get the whole thing to the press. The axle won’t slide back with the hub on and the axle won’t come through because of the CV joint. I’m still on the hunt for one of those monster pullers to borrow. Fortunately, the side that ‘needed’ replaced was a piece of cake. The problem side is not making noise.
