Sellers who leave off pertinent information ...

like selling a knife with the tip broken or a bolt action rifle with a loose bolt and not mentioning it in the ad.

claiming a rifle is in 75% condition, then when you see it in person ... it's got surface rust all over with not a speck of original finish intact, stock all beat up .... etc.

Why do people do this? like you are not going to notice it when you meet up?

if I'm listing something ... will go out of the way to accurately describe something.... is it's ugly... then say so... if it's priced right, someone that doesn't mind will buy it.... and you end up spending less time selling it.

I guess we have been lucky ... But we usually just deal with long time members. I have dallied with some newcomers and not been burned but you old timers here usually come through for me. You have to be a regular poster and I have to have a "relationship" with you ... Either here on the board or in person.

It's not hard to do a search and find out all kinds of stuff about the person behind the screen name before you do business with them. And I have all the time in the world ...

LOL, there are a select few members on here that I have taken checks from. There are also a select few members on here that I even question the authenticity of their cash

I've been happy with all the stuff I've bought off here. If I wasn't satisfied, I just sold it back on here for profit and that made me happy.
