semi auto can jam. pumps have a very low probability of jamming. i like pumps for home defense.

for me, a shotgun whether a $450 tactical or a $150 pump is going to shoot the same pattern ( when using the same shell and same choke). the bells and whistles on the tactical i think are over rated except maybe a flash light. trigger is not a big deal on a shotgun like a pistol. in other words you can protect yourself just effectively with a $170 gun as a $500 gun (pump) much less paying $750 for a semi. just my opinion. i would rather spend my money on a better pistol.

I don't have a scientific study to quote, but I'd bet a human is more likely to "jam" when the stuff actually goes down, than a good quality semi auto shotgun.
