And News 9 is claiming that the bill added liquor stores and any property owned, leased, or rented by any gov entity to prohibited places. Oh well. Can't expect too much from media.

Based on her comments, she will not sign a constitutional carry bill if presented to her. This I personally agree with. I like knowing that folks with felonies and those deamed mentally unstable can't get a license to carry. JMPO.....

Why should we worry about that? We already have laws that says it's illegal for them to own guns!

Businesses may continue to prohibit firearms to be carried on their premises. SB 1733 prohibits carrying firearms on properties owned or leased by the city, state or federal government, at corrections facilities, in schools or college campuses, liquor stores and at sports arenas during sporting events.
This appears to be inaccurate. 21 O.S. 1272 will continue to forbid possession of a firearm where alcohol is sold for consumption, but I don't see anything in the original statute or in the amendment to address liquor stores. Further, §1290 appears to still allow carrying pursuant to an SDA permit where alcohol is sold for consumption, but is not the primary purpose of the business, and as long as the person carrying isn't drinking. If anybody sees something different, please let me know what I've missed.

So they'll just carry illegally like they do now, and you can continue to beg your betters for permission to exercise your rights.

I wonder what information they based that on? Is there something buried in the new Law we are not aware of?

I'm with you on this one. A little prevention is worth alot. They at least have to a background check and a class.

A win for 2A rights.

Too bad we need a law and license to give us our Constitutional rights, but I'll take it as a step closer.
