Luke at KKM told me that they didn't supply the thread protector.....he said most suppressor companys supply it with the can. Is there any truth to this?

No suppressor company supplies thread protectors with their cans. Most don't even sell/offer thread protectors at all.

Maybe he was told that some cans are not supplied with QD adapters and has thoes confused with thread protectors on qd model cans?
