somebody who does the work in-house, knows the difference between manganese and zinc phosphate, will follow directions to not bead blast an already GI blasted GI 1911 frame/thumb safety already chemically stripped (to leave frame markings unmolested), where all they need is acid dip and manganese phosphate bath/oil.

PS- got an answer and was quoted TWO HUNDRED for a stripped 1911 frame with no bead blast. Keep those cards and letters coming, folks. Otherwise I'll set back up to do it my own self for that amount of money.

Not in OK, but I also think Iron Creations out of Ohio does. They make quite a few BMG parts, that are parkerized.

Yep, I know quite a few folk out of state working on milsurps, but in-state simpler, including self-delivery, dodging firearms shipment laws/shippers' extorsion, etc etc....looks like I'll again do it myself which will cost a max of $100...and keep me under my total $350 budget on the finished gun as a point of honor. Was thinking I could get it done local for $75-100 thrown in with a larger job, but.....

I used to, but sold my equipment to a guy in Arkansas and I checked and he seems OOB or retired.

Brownells sells the parkerizing fluid then you just need a stainless tub to heat water in and add the solution.
Any company that grinds camshafts will have a parkerizer.

I've done my own back years ago, but also used acetone to degrease, bead blast if a smooth surface, and then a phosphoric acid etch to prep the surface, and then added manganese dioxide to the phosphoric acid etch (the etch diluted with distilled water), and it needed to be done outside due to acid fumes and then hydrogen gas release meaning also an outdoor burner for the tank/pot....but pharmacies and hardware stores ain't what they used to be, and Brownells isn't the only supplier of kits, but kits only contain a cleaner/parkerize solution/oil solution....and suppose I'll just run with that on the gas kitchen stove with window open.
The shaft grinding lead is interesting, but nothing like that around here, only two machine shops of any variety within 30 miles and them booked solid as I found on another need, and easier to just order a kit than work phone and internet tracking down a shaft grinder who also would do a gun part, laws getting sticky on who can work on guns.
