I am trying to figure out to grill/smoke sausage. I bought some ekridge smoked sausage (pork, turkey, beef) and cooked it and it was terrible. Did I buy the wrong kind?
Like others have said, you are grilling a fully cooked product (like a hot dog) so you really don't need to put them on for long.
Eckrich used to be a premium meat company but like many, they have had to cheapen their product (I was with Oscar Mayer for 17 years) to be competitive in the market. My two cents is to find a smoked sausage that does not have any poultry in it. I don't like the "bite" that an "analog" meat product (made with chicken or turkey) has to it.
