Tell you what - funniest danged thing is to cone across a hognosed snake - the will hiss, rattle their tail; you'll think you've got the meanest pit viper on earth on your hands. Then they play dead - you can just pick them up and they're limp - very entertaining and not dangerous.

MDT, I vaguely remember the Texas Night Snake being a rear fanged snake. But it is so small I highly doubt it could ever get a fang in a person.

+1000 on that! When they play dead, they roll over on their backs. You can roll them on their stomach, and they will roll right back over
