I just left too. lots of prepper stuff, some pretty decent prices. Got scolded for trying to open a box of beowulf ammo and look at it but had to laugh when I walk by to look at the upper that was surrounded maybe 20 minutes later and the ammo was opened up for display! Also saw a 50 beowulf upper set up on a 556 lower, I didnt think that was allowed but it was obvious that the woman running that end of the table didn't have a clue and as they were right across from the ATF I didnt want to make a stink. Last but not least a new frontier arms lower for $289 but that was the exception not the norm

Over all a good show, small but good.

I enjoyed the show. Talked to people I knew, and had a chance to meet some new people. Got a good deal on another Glock death stick and got a cool shirt. I am going back tomorrow to hang out again. If you are looking for a 50BMG, this is the show to go to.

I just got home from the show and am very pleased with some deals I found! Good work Dave...I just wish those few empty tables had vendors at them. Over all a good show that is worth going to.

The dude who made his own knives had knives made of railroad spikes and those looked cool.

Hmm - I wonder if those RR spikes really are suitable for knife blades? I'd think the steel would be too soft since it contains something like 20-40 points of carbon. Good knife blades contain at least twice as much, right?

I drove up from Ardmore and can testify that it was worth it. Once the rep grows and those empty tables in the center are filled, this will be a very good show. As it was, there was a very good selection of guns and knives.

There was a lot of interesting stuff to look at, but to be honest with you, there were some outlandish prices. I like C&R type stuff and what I saw was high. There were more SKS's than I've seen lately, but with one exception, those I saw were $400 and up to $550 - wow. SVT $900. 91/30's for way too much. An M44 for $350. Etc. I saw a G33/40 for $1,250. That may be what they're worth these days.

I thought ammo was high as well. Federal .223 for .50/round. Walmart is .35/round.

I haven't been to a show since the election. Maybe this is the new norm.

Speaking of knives, the guy from Hennepin, John Combes, had some really cool knives. I may go see him one of these days.

But, to top it all off, my friend coolhandluke gifted me with a phopt he had taken and framed. He knows my affinity for C&R weapons. The actual picture looks better than my dinky camera shows it. Thanks, again, Luke. That was cool of you.
