I just love how we continually tell college students they may be old enough to vote, old enough to drink and old enough to go to war and die, but aren't considered the same as other citizens.

What's really irritating about it is that the argument I keep hearing thrown around is:

"do we really want / trust 18 year old freshmen to be running around with guns while their drinking and partying?"

As if that emotional argument would be reason to invalidate the 2A anyways, but it's all BS to begin with.

Can't get a carry license until 21. Rules out most freshmen. Can't drink until 21 (yeah, I know). Can't carry while intoxicated.

So even if you passed student carry, that situation would still be illegal.

BS, I was 6 days out of high school 18yrs old and training with an M16, 4mos latter, I was carrying one, when I was on leave in fla, I ran into the same ****. I went to Nam and back before 20yrs old, same ****, I did put my life on the line for real and still could not drink off base. Mike
