I'm looking for a tent. A certain kind of tent.

I read the description of the tent on CL and click on the ad and the picture is of a tent still in its package. Yeah, that shows me everything I need to see. I guess it's too much to ask for the owner to at least set it up for the picture.

lol...I wouldn't set it up just to take a pic. If I were the buyer I wouldn't care about seeing a pic of it set up, I'd be more concerned with having it set up when I go to buy so that I can inspect it. Maybe the seller will help you set it up for inspection and if you don't buy you can suggest that he take a pic for his ad.

If I were the seller I'd definitely set it up for the ad. A buyer isn't going to drive very far to see something like that.

That would be like selling a car, but not washing it for the picture. "I'll wash it if he wants to see it." Yeah, right.

There is a pic of the tent set up on the package the tent is in. Good enough for me. After all most sellers on craigslist aren't selling for retail prices. Setting a tent up and taking it apart and trying to make it all fit back in the bag is a PITA.

There's a picture of it set up on the stuffsack. Once you unpack a tent like that it's time consuming to pack it back up.

Edit: You beat me to it yukonjack. :)

They NEVER go back in. I wouldn't take it out just for a pic either.

It looks like the picture on the bag, except in real life, the "father figure" will still be swearing at the thing, and the kids will have already tracked a half inch of dirt into it.

First time tent setup is always a pain.
