Interesting site I found while living in Texas. These are all who were executed...gives info on their crime as well as their last statement which can be pretty interesting to read.

It could be considered morbid I suppose, but I found it interesting.

One inmate has been on death row since 1976. Next execution is scheduled 3 weeks from now.

And I'm like you, I find this kind of stuff to be interesting reading. Humans are a strange lot.

I read the last statements of a couple dozen, certainly not all, but I didn't see one that said I didn't do it and this is wrong.
There may be some in there, but I didn't see them.

I don't think so.

"This is not a capital case. I never had intended to do anything." I think he implies he committed the crime, but because he didn't "intend" to kill anyone, it wasn't premeditated and shouldn't have been a death penalty case, instead perhaps just imprisonment? I don't know, I haven't researched the facts of the case, that's just my take on his statement.
