who is to say the US wouldn't just invade this new nation and take the crude? We did it to Iraq to avoid $20 gas, so why not texas? Unless Texas violently left the union, what actual military equipment would it retain? I don't know for sure, but i suspect a fair amount of the National Guard is still federally funded or leased in terms of military equipment.



First thought is, "It is Texas. You know Alamo and all."

Second thought, "It was a Texan that pulled the trigger on Iraq."

Our petition doesn't even say anything. Just quotes a few lines from the declaration of independence. (Maybe I cant see the full text on this phone or something) I think this is more of a protest thing than anything else, but when the whitehouse reads it, does anybody actually think it'll make them stop and rethink any of their policies? My money is on "no".
