Texas is marketing itself as open for business and business friendly, doubt there will be a succession, but more of an ousting of the People's Republic of Kalifornya in GDP eventually..... at least I hope that's the case.

Works both ways actually. They have a good economy, lot of large business. If a state would secede though it is a place where your investments will POTENTIALLY stay. An stock exchange would be needed, as well as a standard of exchange (currency.) May be good to watch for large gold or silver purchases out of Texas, especially by State financial institutions ...
