This is my sub $700 build and the FBT upper fit the bill to keep me in that range.

My thanks to the guys at Fatboy Tactical. All but the lower stripped receiver was purchased from them. DPMS trigger kit. Mil-spec buffer tube. All Magpul Moe stock, trigger guard, grip, and PMag. I had the Magpul flip-up sights in the safe just sitting. 16" upper quad rail. UGT furniture. This was my first AR-15 and my first build. Many thanks to theses guys and Reddog1 for the build asst. and LAR lower!!

Not the best pic, I will get new ones tomorrow. This upper looks great, can't wait to get it out to the range this week!

Oh and this is the cheapest AR build I have done so far. $420 for the FBT Upper, $100 for the spikes zombie lower, $50 for the LPK, $50 for the buttstock set, and $25 for the rear sight. Right under $650 total, not bad for a plinker.
