Dang, lol, i liked yall better when ya said you wouldnt vote for Obama no matter what. Now ya would vote for him if he could do the impossible.

I have a short memory, kinda like the promise to end torture, close Gitmo, and cut the deficit in half promises...

But he would have hope and change if he listened to me...

Maybe I should be a politician.

I really think someday in my lifetime, Gun owners will have to sit down with the anti's and have a negotiation on gun laws. Either we'll negotiate or get something rammed down our throats.

And it wont matter who the POTUS is.
IMO, COMPROMISE, should be a dirty word to gun owners. This table, we come to it with our rights, the opposition comes with nothing. Anything they win is a victory, any thing we give up is a loss. What the anti gunners want is total disarmament.( Dianne Feinstein, 60 Minutes, 5/feb/1995, " If I could have gotten 51 votes Mr. & Mrs. America, turn 'em all in, I would have done it.") Maybe the rest of you want to negotiate, and compromise with these people, but I don't. I was a democrat for the first 46 years of my life, I didn't leave them; they left me. Right, the party platform doesn't matter. Yes it does, It matters because a Politician,Especially A Democrat, will finally bend to it. Does anyone remember Davids MuCurdy and Boren? Both started out pro gun, sadly didn't finish that way. Let Us also not forget Miss Nancy, On winning control of the house, " You republicans can either go along, or You can go to the back of the Bus."( This may not be exact, but is close enough) The Only time the democrats are interested in compromise is when they are out of power.

A crucial aspect of this election is the future of the Supreme Court. If you want the balance of power in the Supreme Court to shift over to the Sotomayor pro-gun control side, then vote for Obama.

I completely agree with this. They've taken ENOUGH of our rights.

I'm fully aware of those democrats who support gun ownership and the 2nd amendment. There are STILL just as many if not MANY more democrats who look at all gun owners as backwards, uneducated, drunken, uber-violent rednecks and if you want more people to come to your party, I think it should be up to YOU to change this ridiculous image of your fellow gun owners. Crying wolf is a stupid argument when it's ON THEIR PLATFORM. Doesn't matter if people are unaware of it or not. If he's re-elected, it will become part of the agenda.

I agree! DON'T RE-ELECT THIS BOOB! The monster shall be uncaged if you do!

I agree with this too! Though I can't say I've ever been a Democrat.

The current president hasn't taken any action against gun ownership, even though its apparently a part of his party's platform. Just cause the RNC or GNC says something doesn't mean its canonized law for all who are under their banner.

To me it is absolutely ridiculous that we have 1 of 2 platforms to agree on: either red or blue. One group of gas bags says they are for one set of things, whereas the other says they are for another; both say the other is completely wrong. What about overlap in policy? I really hate how our politics have to be one thing or the other. I'm a free thinking, educated person who is fully capable of picking and choosing which policies to support in a candidate. Who gives a turd if a candidate's officiating body of gas bags claims a stance for or against something. Its still up to the individual candidate to decide what is actually important enough to enforce, and it is up to us to recognize their ability to do so.

For me, the individual leader is what it comes down to. I couldn't care less about what some gigantic group of red or blue wigs have to say about anything.

I totally agree with you, Dale, and I think that this bears repeating. I don't understand how anyone on a pro gun forum could possible consider voting for our present POTUS, knowing that they will stack the Supreme court with anti-2A Justices, that will tilt the court left for the next 20 or 30 years.
