Jose "Joe" Serna

Jose "Joe" Serna, age 41, was taken from us in a tragic accident, while at work, on August 7, 2023. Joe was born on November 26, 1981, to Rosa and Jose Serna Sr. He has two younger brothers, Joshua (Rebecca) and James (Elizabeth) Serna.

In April of 2009, he married his loving wife, Heather, and they had three wonderful children, Melody, James, and Jordan. Joe loved his family with everything he had and worked very hard to support and care for them. He loved his job as an OTR Tire Technician, and was well liked throughout the industry for his skills and passion.

Joe enjoyed playing the saxophone and loved praising the Lord with his talent. He also collected everything John Deere. His favorite place to eat was In and Out Burgers. He liked it so much that he would drive his family at least twice a year, six hours away, in order to take care of his craving.

Joe leaves behind his grandmother, Juanita Serna, and an extended family and multitude of friends. He is very loved, respected, and will be greatly missed by many.

Services for Joe will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Heritage Church in Southaven. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday evening, August 17, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. The family will also receive friends for an hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Autumn Woods Cemetery.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4
