I have a niece that is an addict too. Her dad got her started and she has been in and out of prison because of it. Prayers sent for all of them.

This breaks my heart. Went to the funeral of a beautiful 34 yo Mom of 2, this morning. The daughter of a co-worker and friend. She was recently divorced, struggling with depression and OD'd.
The overdose kept her hospitalized for 6 weeks, Dad sitting with her continuously, until she passed.
What a waste of life and the pain of those left behind.

I don't have much optimism for Amanda as I know her back story more than I care to but prayers are wanted for her.
I love her mom like a sister and have heard this play out for 4 years.
