Dennis is right Lurker. What you saw tonight is people are fed the eff up. It was just a matter of time, a lot of them are probably ignorant of the process and we're just voting for change out of desparation. Sound familiar? That's why I said they have a mandate...

LOL, check out how Harry Ried stopped every spending bill out of the house. Then get back with me.

You just don't get it. If Congress wouldn't give him money he couldn't spend it. It's kinda like you not giving your kids allowance and taking the piggy bank away. They can't buy candy if you don't give them money.

Dennis. Let me remind you. Congress has had the purse strings for the past 4 years Obama's term. They'll have it for the next 2 as well.

Let me give you an example of Congressional power and purse strings. Nixon wanted to continue the VN War....the Democratic led majority voted to defund the entire War thus bringing an end to the War in which you were drafted.

Yes Congress allowed Obama to spend every red cent of our tax dollars for the past 6 years....and the GOP has held the power of the purse for the last 4 years.

Your going to make yourself dizzy with all that spinning. The House tried to stop the Dem controlled Senate and Dohbama. It was called the shutdown and you and all the other liberals went ballistic. Heck you still complain about it. Fact is the GOP controlled House passed over 300 bills that Reid and the Dem controlled Senate would not even bring up for a vote. Having congress in GOP hands will be an improvement, the only unknown is by how much.

You don't get it. Even though the house is in charge of appropriations, etc, Ried and Pelosi blocked every thing.

The house voted several times to defund obamacare, and it never make it to the senate.

Thank you dims.

Sure I agree. I'm fed up too. I'm just not disallusioned to think that Bonher n McConnell and a GOP majority is the answer. We still won't get alot of things done that need doing.

The votes will never be there to defund Obamacare. It's a waste of time and resources. Only option now is to fix it up and patch it and make it work. Much like medicare.

Let's not forget, that they can now actually get to the bottom of FAF, NSA, IRS, & Benghazi too should they choose to do so.

DOJ just released 64k pages of heavily redacted content to the House Oversight committee monday night(election eve dump). I'm sure the guilty stuff us mostly blacked out, but there may be something in there to refuel the F&F investigation.

EDIT - The beloved prohibition vote

Oregon and D.C. pass recreational use, and Florida falls short by 2% to pass medical use.

It will be interesting to see how DC reacts to the vote now that the Republicans have taken over.
