If this actually happens, I'm not sure that enough Democrats will vote to override the expected Presidential veto. However, they can try and if it fails, then they can go in and start repealing specific parts of the ACA, such as the medical device taxes and others.

Dems are running from Obamacare. All the GOP needs to do is pick a few in purple states up for re-election in 2016. The GOP is looking like it will have 54 seats by the time the LA run off is done. If they get two independents to side with them, they will need 4 Dems wanting to keep their seats to over ride a veto.

Here, but occasionally There.
Oh, and one other thing. It looks like it may be tomorrow as to whether Colorado has managed to oust two Democrats or not. Udall has definitely lost, and Hinkenlooper is behind by about 13,000 votes with 86% of the results being calculated.

And shoot, I didn't even talk to that many Colorado residents to get them to vote the Dems out.

I think the public wanted a immigration bill but Cruz and the Tea Parties kinda didnt. But that's another thread. I will concede that Reid did a lot of blocking if you'll concede that repealing Obamacare and counting that as worthwhile bills was a colossal waste of legislative time considering Obama would veto it and we'll never get 2/3 to repeal it.
Republicans should repeal it anyway. It doesn't matter if Obama vetoes it, just get the votes on record and let the chips fall where they may. Reid likely hurt some democrat candidates by not allowing any votes where they might have been able to oppose the president. Let the votes happen and let the people decide.

Sarah Palin made a really good post tonight.

Thank you, wise voters! Tonight is a big victory for We the People! Credit is due to the victorious candidates. Your message to President Obama is undeniably received, though he'll try to ignore it.

Now, new Republican Congressional majority in the House and Senate, please realize that Americans were not necessarily voting FOR any party; they were voting AGAINST the continued dysfunction and corruption in D.C. We the People were saying, “enough is enough” to the scandals, crony capitalism, and utter lack of leadership in Washington.

The Democrats got mauled today, deservedly so. To prohibit that from happening to the GOP in 2016, it must learn the lesson from the last time Republicans held the Senate majority. This time they must not retreat, and it's our responsibility to hold them accountable. Will they fight for reform that aligns with the limited government planks of the Republican platform, or will they return to the big government cronyism and status quo favored by the permanent political class? Will they drain the swamp or decide the D.C. cesspool is really just a jacuzzi they can't wait to jump on into and shake us off?

If GOP leadership returns to business as usual, then this majority will be short lived, for We the People say, “once bitten, twice shy.”

So, establishment types, remember that you didn’t build this! This majority that swept you into power tonight is thanks to the rank and file commonsense conservative grassroots. That’s who built it. And they expect results. They deserve the best for America.

Thank you, SarahPAC supporters. Congratulations, USA! God, please bless our future.

- Sarah Palin

On a side note, most candidates that Palin supported won, most that Hillary support lost. :P

I'm glad we have gridlock coming to Washington. However, do you guys really see a huge difference between Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell?

Might try something different to see some actual change.
