Some of the latest wisdom from AOC, she's sounding more like La Raza.
I think if they just keep putting the spotlight on her she'll dig her own grave.

(Emphasis mine)

The self-described Democratic socialist spoke on Thursday alongside several liberal groups, including MoveOn and United We Dream, a pro-immigration group that calls for ICE to be abolished. She repeatedly slammed ICE, claiming it "repeatedly and systematically violates human rights."

"They do not deserve a dime until they can prove that they are honoring human rights, until they can make a good faith effort to expand and embrace immigrants … Until they can prove good faith to an American ideal, they do not deserve any resources for their radical agenda. We have to have respect for children, respect for families, respect for human rights, and respect for the right of human mobility," Ocasio-Cortez said of the agency tasked with enforcing U.S. immigration laws.

The freshman congresswoman went on to suggest ICE has not given due respect to those who enter the country illegally. The United States must "respect for the right of human mobility," she said before adding, "because it is a right."

"Because we are standing on Native land, and Latino people are descendants of Native people. And we cannot be … criminalized simply for our identity or our status."

"We are a nation and land of laws, not just [one where] some people are subject to laws and others are not," she said. "We are a land of laws."

The Office of Management and Budget’s 2010 Census Brief defines "Hispanic or Latino" as a "person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin regardless of race," per NTK Network.

If any of ya'll think this is going away, think again. We laughed at Bernie, his following has only grown. We're laughing at AOC's ignorance, but her following is growing. We laughed at the economic and socialist policies of the EU, but they are still there.

People who buy into this nonsense don't just wake up one day and realize, "Hey, I'm a dumbass, there's no way this stuff will work." Socialist experiments around the globe haven't convinced people... they always think, "We'll be different. We'll be better because our intentions are better." Then when it all starts to crumble, the powergrab only gets worse, eventually it all falls because it's a house of cards.

But that isn't some breakthrough in "wokeness" they simply achieve spontaneuously one day... it only comes through pain and loss, unfortunately. Humans are unfortunately prone to repeating history. And this is what were are seeing...

To go along with post 28..

Hard times create strong men,
Strong men create good times,
Good times create weak men,
Weak men create hard times.

The circle of life, what goes up, must come down.

Unfortunately, in November 2016, I believe that we are in the “weak men create hard times” part of the cycle.

“A nation is born a stoic and dies an epicurean” Will Durant

Strength and success are born out of stoic values.

The Stoics elaborated a detailed taxonomy of virtue, dividing virtue into four main types: wisdom, justice, courage, and moderation. – The Google definition of Stoic Values

To have wisdom, justice, courage and moderation is to be strong where one will defer his or her own happiness and pleasure for virtue.

To the stoics, virtue was more important than happiness in life.

In contrast Epicurean values stem from Epicurus and he believed:

that what he called “pleasure” was the greatest good, but that the way to attain such pleasure was to live modestly, to gain knowledge of the workings of the world, and to limit one’s desires. This would lead one to attain a state of tranquility (ataraxia) and freedom from fear as well as an absence of bodily pain (aponia). The combination of these two states constitutes happiness in its highest form… Epicureanism is a form of hedonism – Source Wikipedia

Where pleasure, personal happiness, limited desire, modest living, knowledge without action, tranquility, absense of bodily pain and hedonism take over, a weak man is born.

As a millenial, I can say that my generation is certainly Epicurean in nature. We are indeed living in a time of weak men who create hard times.

Today’s young man between 20-30 is drowning in pleasure through video games and pornography, he will not have a serious or real relationship with a woman to make a family or bear children until late in life or perhaps ever. Our birth rates are down and costs of living are high, so traditional families are in decline. His personal happiness comes first above all else. He has limited desire and ambition and in effect, must live modestly. He is the most educated that a young man has ever been in history with little action taken to use his education to to reach his potential in life. He has an absense of bodily pain and we now have “safe spaces” and “cry spaces” on campuses to validate our generation’s weak emotional fortitude.

We are living in a time of weak men.
