I thought about that, but the rear sight almost looks fixed like novaks. Maybe not, but it doesn't appear to be inline with the front sight/bore axis either?Looks like in case you don't want the dot. And it'll help with the suppressor on.
Edit: I think the cut-out of the slide is what gives the optical illusion of the front sight being so high. Maybe the irons do line up upon further examination.

Threaded barrels are useless in competition games. The shot timer records each shot by the report of the firearm.To set the record straight, I have never owned a Taurus product(past reputation). However I think that Taurus’ 16rd mags and coming with a threaded barrel(I have no use for) has upped the stakes in the competition game among 22 firearms. They seemed to have also made strides in QC/reliability in at least some of their products as well. This makes it better for consumers.
