Looks like in case you don't want the dot. And it'll help with the suppressor on.
I thought about that, but the rear sight almost looks fixed like novaks. Maybe not, but it doesn't appear to be inline with the front sight/bore axis either?
Edit: I think the cut-out of the slide is what gives the optical illusion of the front sight being so high. Maybe the irons do line up upon further examination.

I like the concept of attaching the dot to the barrel, but that is one fugly gun. I don't understand the raised platform for the front sight unless they are wanting to co-witness with it.

Man, if I tried to put somethin that ugly in my safe, it would lock itself from the inside. That thing is hideous.

It is darn ugly but it looks like a lot of fun. I'd snatch one up for around $250 maybe but not for as much as they are most likely going for.

I haven't looked but I'm guessing they are $350 or higher. ??? :anyone:

To set the record straight, I have never owned a Taurus product(past reputation). However I think that Taurus’ 16rd mags and coming with a threaded barrel(I have no use for) has upped the stakes in the competition game among 22 firearms. They seemed to have also made strides in QC/reliability in at least some of their products as well. This makes it better for consumers.

Threaded barrels are useless in competition games. The shot timer records each shot by the report of the firearm.
We have had some try to shoot suppressed during matches and it doesn't work.
The threaded barrel would be for personal use.
