I'm gonna say yes.
Lightning hit the stove pipe on our wood stove and came inside and grounded through the tile floor, blew up a bunch of tiles and other stuff and sent shrapnel all over the place.
I was standing about 10 feet a way at the time.
Yeah, it was lightning. Looks like it hit that tree and threw wood everywhere.
I’ve seen video of a great big pine tree getting hit by lightning, and it blew the hell out of it. It looked like the tree got hit by artillery or was subject to a suitable application of high explosive.
I don’t know for a fact that it was lightning in the video in this thread, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was.
