Mr Wiliams......it was Enemy at the Gates that spiked My Mosin fascination, and inho "Band of Brothers" box set is the nest depiction of Our M1's Ever. Very Emotional amd Historical Flick. U See ALL the Best Garands, Carbines, Thompsons, and the Paratrooper. Carbines.

I have to agree with you on "Band of Brothers". The way "To Hell and Back" ends with the still pic of the M1 just made it an icon to me. I do like me some Mosins and hope to build a sniper clone some day. Tell my M44 hi for me btw..... Still haven't seen a better looking one...

Audie Murphy actually lived in Ponca City for awhile. He appeared in the 101 wild west show, that was really big at the time. My grandfather talked about seeing him around town.

Ardmore had a big shindig when Audie Murphy's horse. They have it buried in front of the
Coloseum. Audy came to town and said some words, moastly how that hoerse had kept
him out of trouble when he made the Westerns. Great speech and all. That was back in
'55 I believe.
