I just heard of this on the news, had no idea we were getting a nuclear fast attack sub named for our state. I thought the USS Oklahoma name would be gone forever, this is awesome for our state and military supporters.

Yep, were getting a new USS Arizona also, not sure how I feel about that.

That’s awesome. The original Uss Oklahoma refused to be scrapped so I guess the name is still in play.

I'd feel better if that name were reserved for an invincible, impregnable, planet wrecking agent of vengeance, and pretty sure the crew would like that, too.

Years back, we had a sub named USS Oklahoma City. But it's been retired for a long time.
