The med size sow I got with a TC Hawken .50 up in the mountains around Wilburton I gutted it where it dropped then my hunting buddy and I got it back to camp (tiring 150 yd. uphill drag through thick timber) and hung it in a tree, just like we always did deer, then we got it skinned, quartered, boned and put on ice for the trip back home the next day.
We split the meat 50-50 and we both agreed later that it was darn good eating....I will say that the skinning part sure does dull a knife pretty quick.
