They may have beat it eventually, but at what cost. The DA dropped the charges down to next to nothing just so he can count it as a win.
And that is the problem with too many DAs. They're going after Ws instead of justice.

Those charges should never have seen the light of day. Hopefully the governor will be true to his word and pardon them.

I never heard that version. :anyone:
I remember reading something about they sent in prop guns when requested instead of the weapons used. So, are the props or the real guns being destroyed?

Oh, and some group needs to send them both for firearms education. Desperately.

As I remember her pistol was the prop gun used in trials.
His AR was the real deal. What he sent in could have been a prop gun. Part of the show.
The fact that those are to be destroyed is nothing more than showboating.
Cheaper to admit to a misdemeanor when justified to present arms in defense is disgusting.
They had the spare change to cover expenses looking at their residence.
He is running for Governor I think?
If so, this was a political move.

Show boating or capitulating. What gets me is the article said peaceful protesting and nobody saw breaking down a gate. It was a private community and I remember watching the video of these so-called peaceful people breaking down the gate and flooding through yelling and chanting. There was nothing peaceful. Having seen the videos of the summer of all the looting and burning and assaults I would’ve definitely been fearful of what this crowds intent was. It is unfortunate that it is cheeper to plead to a lesser charge than have true justice. This is wrong. If this is a sign of the future the country is on then hello to the decline like South Africa
