To show my ignorance and lack of knowledge on it, why do we need a new stadium? Is paycom always sold out? If not, I don't get it.
Because da bassetball playas needs more better amenities because they bes millionaires and the prima donnas need the best our money can buy..........if they want it let them and the thunder owners pay for it

We know it's going to pass because the liberals in guberment and dumb %%% voters want it

Because the team will leave Okc for another city if we don’t build them a new one. Just like other countless pro teams have done: Rams, Browns, colts, SuperSonics, Raiders, etc.

So many things being said here, on media, YouTube, etc., so it can’t all be true. The local “guns for everybody” radio guy is saying that the proposed arena will only be 500 more seats than the current one, and folks, some on here and other places, are saying the current one is never full for games, so where does “owner greed” come into play?

Why do they threaten to leave town when they don't get tax breaks and luxury boxes, also makes the team more attractive when they want to sell it. I don't know why Love's didn't step up and give a hundred million dollars to build a new stadium. Probably because they will get the taxpayers to build it for them for next to nothing.

Maybe in tax breaks from the city.

At the end of the day, a nicer stadium also means that the team will have to pay a larger fee to the city for the use of the stadium, its grounds, and its parking, regardless of attendance. They don't just hang out for free. They pay for its use for every practice, every game, every event. More bigger means more other stuff can be here, like big rodeos, conventions, big concerts, etc... Things that the BOK Center and other state's superior facilities get over the current arena. Didn't we lose a major rodeo a few years back? Things we can't host anymore because the events look for larger centers or better made for the purpose. We don't have the cox convention center either anymore, so this new stadium would be pulling double duty. Its not just a palace we build for the thunder, and the money made isn't exclusively from the basketball tickets/tax revenue.
