People use to throw the apples under the house to keep roach's and other insects out and away from the house as they rot they put of a toxic fume that bugs dont like, other than that dont know of any useful purpose for the apples now as a kid we came up will all kinds of things to use them for from baseball to make believe hand grenades' to bowling balls and of course targets squirrels love to eat the apples also or should say they will peel the outer layer off and eat the core.

Look under some older houses and you will find blocks of the wood holding the floor up didnt have concrete blocks back them have seen some that was 100 years old under house with no rot what so ever.

Hi All,

There’s a tree I’ve only seen since moving to Oklahoma and I’m curious what it might be. It’s probably 30’-40’ tall in the picture. “Fruit” is about the size of a softball which is milky inside. I thought horse apples were what came out of the hind end of a horse. Wait, those are road apples.
