I used Banner for years but have belonged to TCGC for the last three and find it is much better for me than Banner. I shoot more often now and can take a guest any time (or as many times as) I want. If you only shoot once or twice a year you would be better off not joining. The only way to join is to attend one of their monthly meetings (first Friday of the Month). There you sign up, get your NRA membership if you don't have it, and get scheduled for the range safety oriientation. After your orientation you are good to go.

I am a member of Tri-City If you want to join go to the next club meeting which will be July 3rd at the Norman public library. They can also sign you up for the NRA at that time. One thing that I want to point out to you is your membership is normally from 1/1 to 12/31 and that fee is $75.00 associate working (you are required to work 8 hours for the club per year) or $110.00 associate non-working (you are not required to work for the club). I do not know if they pro-rate your dues after July 1st or not. You will have to ask them about that. Hope this will help you out.

Well that once a month joining business has definitely put Tri-City on hold for me. I was ready to pay up so the wife and I could shoot this weekend. But like you said, the next meeting won't be until early July and our business won't allow us to attend that meeting - I guess I'll see how August shapes up.

One day a month seems a little odd if they want to grow their membership. I'm not that busy of a guy and it's going to be at least two months before I can even join and schedule an orientation, even though I've got cash in hand to join, that's a little frustrating. Maybe their "voting members" should elect someone that can schedule appointments for registration and orientation.

Anyway, when and if I'm able to join I hope to see you shooting, always happy to meet another OSAer. In the meantime I guess I can look forward to that pistol range opening on I-35, that place is even closer to Moore and I'm VERY excited about that.

The only ranges that will be open is the short ranges( Pistol ). The IPSC club is shooting a match down on the long range.

Unfortunately it is what it is until the membership renewal drive which starts in October, then they will have multipule dates setup for membership and renewal. But if you would like to go and shoot and I am not working I also would be glad to invite you out to our range.

I may be able to help with that membership drive - I've quite a few family and friends that shoot so after I spread the word, they may be others that want to join.

I had the pleasure of attending their range orientation today. It looks like a nice facility with continuous improvments. The orientation lasted about 1 1/2 hours, it covered all the safety rules and reg.'s They are very safety minded. I look foward to meeting some of you out there.

I went out there today to shoot my AR for the first time and I really like that gun, my wife shot her pink P22 which always gets a few double takes. Everybody out there was real friendly, but most importantly they seemed to be safe and have good range etiquette. Everybody kept the business end pointed down range, everybody did a good job of calling back Hot or Cold when somebody was changing targets, I was quite pleased and I'm pretty certain my wife and I will join in August(schedule permitting).

I'd get a lot more time in with my pistol if I didn't have to go to OKC to shoot.

Well.. when the new range opens in Norman later this month, I'll probably be there once a week or so.
