So back to the roller coaster bridges....why didn't the state demand that the contractor replace the decks so that they are safe to drive on?

Who cares, its a toll road so your not paying for it unless you use it.

It matters when it's the last option for crossing town.

It wasnt the decks, it was all the beams under the decks. That would have cost the contractor to go belly up, he likely paid someone off and gave a couple BJs and it was a done deal. I dont know.

I do! Not because of cost, although I drive it every day, but because it is slowing down traffic NEEDLESLY!

That was the OTA, not ODOT.
And I agree they shold have made it right, I'm just telling you what I think happened instead.
