Tulsa road construction rant thread

Thhis last time in Tulsa on a Saturday about made me explode!!!! Your road construction makes okc road construction look tame. I don't want even want to go into how many times I got lost with my gps running with that freaking construction going on. As to why the road construction takes so long was a story done on channel 4 done in OKC once. They stated that all the money appropriated does not come in at once and it is doled out when they get it. Also the crosstown I-40 was given to 5 different contractors on 40 separate projects. It really drove me nuts that it took 10 years.

I understand construction and maintenance. That being said, whoever designed said reconstruction/maintenance plan for 244 from 161st to memorial should have his erector set repossessed and .... Nothing makes me question more than when 12 miles of highway is under construction yet NO one working and it's sunny and 90+ degrees. There, I said it.
