I miss the variety shows. Glen Campbells Goodtime hour was the best. HeeHaw but only the early shows. Sonny and Cher too. Gawd she was hot in those lil tight thin tube tops. Porter Wagner got me interested in guitar.

Let me add some these Hee Haw chicks are hot in that bushy 1970's way.

In the 70's I was away in areas that didn't have TV. Pretty much grew up without TV as we couldn't afford one. My kids didn't have tv until they were in junior high. I think they were better for it. We have a TV in the house now, but its rarely turned on. News/weather in the morning, and thats it.

I hear people talking about how TV shows in the past have changed society. Considering the drivel I see on occasion when the tv is on, I can't imagine how it could have happened.

The dumbing down of America I guess.
