WWII Japanese NCO Katana, matching serial numbers on sword and sheath.
Obviously used, came off Japanese NCO in New Guinea.
Minor rust on the sheath and some pitting on the sword blade but still sharp and overall in good condition.
Will ship on your nickel.

I am interested in this. My uncle fought the Japanese in the owen stanleys and at buna station and sananda. 32nd red arrow division. How do you know this was captured in new guinea?
